Tandem skydive

What “Beach Landing” Really Means

A true beach landing means your jump ends with you floating down under the parachute and touching down on the sand of Mustang Island — not in a field miles from the water. It's one of the rarest ways to skydive in Texas, and it's our most popular jump. Here's how it works and what's included.

A real beach landing vs. landing inland

Most skydives — even very scenic ones — finish at an inland landing area, sometimes a fair distance from anything you'd call a view. A beach landing is different: you come down by the Gulf and your feet meet the sand. The difference isn't just the photo at the end; it's the whole last few minutes under canopy, gliding over the water toward the shore.

How a beach landing works, and when it's available

The jump itself is a tandem from over two miles up over the island — more than a minute of freefall, then a canopy ride over the water to the sand. Beach landings happen on select days, because winds, tides, and conditions all have to line up, and we make conservative calls to keep it safe. If the beach isn't right on your day, we'll talk you through the options rather than force it.

What's included — Beach Landing and Sunset Beach Landing

Two ways to do it:

  • Beach Landing — $499. Our most popular jump. You land on the sand, and your video package is included.
  • Sunset Beach Landing — $599. The same beach landing under golden-hour light, with photo and video included — freefall into a Gulf sunset few people ever see.

Prefer the classic first? A standard tandem is $259, and you can add HD photo & video for $119. The beach tiers bundle the media in on purpose: when the landing is this rare, the footage is the keepsake.

Why people choose the beach landing

It's the jump people book for the big moments — birthdays, proposals, "I finally did it" bucket-list days — and the one that fills their camera roll. The sand, the water, and the canopy ride make footage that looks like nowhere else in Texas. Planning a celebration or bringing a crew? See group events.

When to book, and what to expect with the weather

Clear days are ideal, and sunset slots are limited, so it's worth booking ahead — especially on weekends. Because we're a smaller operation that won't fly in marginal conditions, booking early gives us the most room to get you the day you want.

Frequently asked questions

Do you really land on the sand?

Yes — on select days, the Beach Landing and Sunset Beach Landing jumps finish on the sand of Mustang Island. Conditions decide which days work.

Is the beach landing worth it over the standard jump?

If landing on the sand and keeping the footage matters to you, yes — it's our most popular jump for a reason. If you mainly want the freefall, the $259 tandem is a great option too.

Is video included?

Yes — video is included on both the Beach Landing and the Sunset Beach Landing. On a standard tandem you can add photo & video for $119.

Can I propose or celebrate during the jump?

Absolutely — it's a popular choice for proposals and birthdays. Tell us ahead and we'll help make it special; see group events if you're bringing a crew.

How far ahead should I book?

Book ahead when you can, especially for sunset slots and weekends, so the weather gives us the most flexibility to get you the day you want.
